COVID Confessions

Updated: Apr 25, 2022

As a "solopreneur" doing my thing, making my art and selling directly to the customer, it's just you and me, babe.

It's a wonderful thing to do business one-on-one, taking the middleman out of the equation. We can learn from each other. What I learn from my customers is more than just your personal taste in jewelry. I learn a bit from the hesitation some of you may feel when you sign up for my email list—and I can relate! You put your trust in me that I'm not going to sell your email address or flood your inbox with soulless sales pitches. God knows, I get a barrage of that crap every day in my inbox. Some companies offer deep discounts daily, or multiple times a day, and you start to wonder what exactly is the real value of their product.

That said, I also know that price matters to you—to all of us, especially these days. As an artist who's in direct contact with her customers, that means that I offer my absolute best, at my best price.

What's that John Lennon line?

You know the one... Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

Well, here's the confession: I am sitting on a bunch of inventory—pieces I had made back in January when I was planning to sell at a bunch of (now cancelled) spring and summer shows. 2020 was going to be my big growth year (Ha!) for selling wholesale to a bunch of shops across the country. And then, boom—COVID-19 hit!

What does this mean for you?

It means that the refunds I have received from my cancelled shows I can forward as savings for you! If you like my work, now is definitely the time to take advantage of discounts that I offer only to my email list.

At the end of the day, especially during these crazy times, we must look for the silver linings. We're all charting new territory and perhaps there are opportunities for all of us.

If you're already on my email list, great! You'll be hearing a bit more from me throughout these upcoming weeks. I will do my best to make my email communication interesting, creative, and lucrative!

And if you're not on my email list, subscribe today and take advantage of these unprecedented opportunities!

I'm wishing you and your family good health and safety.

Nancy
