If you’ve been reading my blog, you may recall last May I won an award for First Place in the jewelry category at the Bruce Museum Arts and Crafts Festival in Greenwich, CT. Last month, I just won a Merit Award at the prestigious Arts Festival Beth-El in St. Petersburg, FL where my work was shown along side some really high-end heavy hitters in the jewelry category. It was a wonderful moment for me!
Now that the initial shock and awe has worn off, I’ve learned that while it’s fantastic when your work is acknowledged publicly, when it comes down to it, it’s not going to change anything about the way I think about design or my future as a designer.
In fact, it’s made me even more excited to get back into the studio and start creating some new work! I have a bunch of new ideas and can’t wait to bring them to life to share with you!
